Ashby & Vale began in 2009 in a rented corner of a wheelwright's yard. We still work from the same yard, now with the whole of it, and still draw every job full size on the bench before a board is cut.
We use UK-grown and certified European timber, hand-cut joints where they will be seen, and finishes chosen for how a room is used rather than how it photographs.
Every drawer is dovetailed by hand. Nobody sees it, but you feel it each time one closes.
